The Master Planning for the North Central and Central Coastal Region for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, sets the goal of fast and sustainable regional development, positioning the region as a national leader in the marine economy. The plan focuses on the development of economic corridors along the North–South and East–West axes; the establishment of logistics hubs linked to seaports, airports, and border gates; and the formation of regional and national-level logistics centers based on the region’s port system and key international transport corridors. The region aims to contribute over 6% of the country’s total logistics revenue.
Hue City’s Master Planning for the 2021-2030 era, with a vision to 2050, aims to transform the city into a significant national maritime economic center and a growth driver for the regions and the country. Key breakthroughs are clearly identified, including: “Top priority will be given to the development of strategic transport infrastructure, seaports and seaport services, logistics infrastructure, and economic zone infrastructure,” while developing Chan May deep-water port, linking it to economic zones, and promoting Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone’s key driving role.
With the objective of strengthening the logistics sector of the North Central and Central Coastal Regions in general, and Hue city in particular, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will collaborate with Hue City People’s Committee to host the “6th Regional Logistics Forum: Cross-border Logistics – A Growth Catalyst for the North Central and Central Coastal Region.”
