DESCRIPTION:This event shall explore Vietnam’s increasing demand for green energy driven by international FDI businesses\, and what factories and Industrial Parks can do to create green competitive advantage for their business. Starting with the Government’s policies on Roof Top Solar (RTS)\, Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA)\, Power Development Plan 8 (PDP8)\, we explore the opportunities and limitations to see what green solutions can be achieved in the next 1 to 3 years. Discussion topics covering challenges relating to policy execution\, infrastructure limitations and power quality stability\, with a case study on last year’s power supply disruption affecting businesses. We shall also discuss what practicable green solutions can be in place to extend the use of green energy and further lowering of carbon – within the Factories/Industrial Parks\, and outside from the Ports and Green Transportation. This extends accounting for a higher carbon reduction through the value chain.
